The industry standard discussion meeting for coiled-tube heat exchangers was held in Wuhan.

China National Chemical News reported that from December 27 to 29, a finalization meeting for the draft industry standard "Coil-Tube Heat Exchangers" was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The meeting was organized by the Heat Exchanger Sub-Technical Committee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Boilers and Pressure Vessels, with co-sponsorship from Wuhan Donghai Petrochemical Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. Nearly 30 representatives from engineering firms, research institutes, manufacturers, material suppliers, and other organizations across China attended the meeting to discuss the standard in detail, clearly defining the heat exchangers' scope of application—including specified design pressure ranges, suitable operating environments, and recommended materials.

It is understood that the meeting standardized the structural design and calculation methods for the key components of coiled-tube heat exchangers, unified the rules for categorizing specification models, and established fundamental guidelines for the manufacturing, inspection, and acceptance processes of these heat exchangers. Additionally, the meeting discussed potential failure modes and instability patterns specific to coiled-tube heat exchangers, while also expanding on parameter requirements under various operating conditions to ensure the equipment's safety performance.
