The 3rd (2025) Synthesis Gas-to-Ethanol Conference DMTE The technical seminar took place on 10 Month 15 From day to day 10 Month 17 The event was successfully held in Harbin. This conference brought together industry experts and leading technology companies to jointly discuss the latest advancements and future directions in syngas-to-ethanol technology. As the world's sole supplier of patented equipment for syngas-to-ethanol processes, Wuhan Donghai Petrochemical Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd. was invited to attend and showcased its cutting-edge achievements in both R&D and engineering applications.

During the meeting, Mr. Ma Zhengmao, Senior Vice President of Wuhan Donghai, engaged in an in-depth discussion with Professor Zhu Wenliang from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, who is the inventor of the patented technology for synthesizing ethanol from syngas. The two sides exchanged insights on technology optimization, industry collaboration, and future development directions, laying a solid foundation for further strengthening collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research institutions.

As a special guest, Mr. Zhou Chuan, Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of the R&D Center at Wuhan Donghai, delivered a keynote presentation titled "Coke Prevention and Mitigation Technologies in Ethanol Production from Syngas." This innovative technology was jointly developed by Wuhan Donghai Petrochemical and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, and it has already been granted a patent (Patent No.: ZL2024 2 0434987.7) , effectively addressing the long-standing coking issue in the syngas-to-ethanol process and providing a reliable guarantee for the stable, long-term operation of the plant. Director Zhou Chuan’s presentation drew significant attention from the attending experts, with several client organizations expressing strong interest in adopting and scaling up this technology.
