2025 Year 5 Month 14 On the morning of the same day, Pan Huiming, Deputy Secretary of the Wuhan Institute of Engineering's Party Committee (at the level of a director-general), along with Zheng Lingli, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Zheng Xiaotao, Dean; Xie Shanshan, Deputy Secretary; and graduate counselors, visited and conducted a research tour at Wuhan Donghai Company's Petrochemical Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd.
Company Chief Engineer Li Mingkai and Head of the Comprehensive Management Department, Huang Tao, accompanied Pan Huiming and his delegation on a site visit to the company’s History Museum, its intelligent production workshop, and the Heavy Equipment R&D Center, where they provided a detailed overview of the company’s innovative achievements in areas such as petrochemical equipment manufacturing and advanced smart welding technologies.
The two sides held a symposium. Company President Lu Wei extended a warm welcome to the university delegation and highly praised the institution's remarkable achievements in talent development and its successful collaborations with industry partners over recent years. He emphasized that Wuhan Donghai Company is recognized as a national-level "Specialized, Fine, and New" enterprise. The "Little Giant" enterprises boast significant advantages in energy-efficient technology and high-end heat exchange equipment. For years, these companies have maintained a strong collaborative relationship with academic institutions. Moving forward, they aim to leverage the cultivation of outstanding engineers as a key link, fostering deeper integration among industry, academia, and research through joint initiatives such as co-built practice bases and collaborative technology projects—ultimately providing robust talent support to drive corporate growth.
At the symposium, Pan Huiming presented the company with a plaque on behalf of the school.
