Recently, our company received a one-year user acceptance report for two "core-pull" high-efficiency spiral tube heat exchangers used in an energy-saving renovation project at a chemical enterprise in Shandong. The two tower-top gas water coolers supplied by our company utilize circulating water to cool the tower-top gas and compressed rich gas, achieving significant waste heat recovery. After being put into operation, the results have been remarkable, with all operational indicators exceeding design values.

Due to the tendency of scaling in the shell-side circulating water under low-temperature conditions, traditional spiral tube heat exchangers are not well-suited for such applications. Our R&D center, leveraging the core-pull principle of floating-head heat exchangers and the axial self-tightening sealing principle, developed two "core-pull" high-efficiency spiral tube heat exchangers tailored to the original equipment's operating conditions. The tube bundle design incorporates our newly developed anti-scaling and easy-to-clean patented technology, eliminating flow dead zones within the tube bundle and significantly reducing the risk of medium scaling. This fundamentally reduces the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance. The core-pull structure design and axial self-tightening sealing provide convenient conditions and technical assurance for equipment cleaning and maintenance during major overhauls.

Spiral tube heat exchangers, with their compact structure, high temperature and pressure resistance, and high heat transfer efficiency, offer unparalleled advantages over conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers. In recent years, they have been widely used in low-temperature and high-pressure installations in the petroleum, chemical, and nuclear industries. The National Development and Reform Commission's "Implementation Guidelines for Energy-Saving and Carbon Reduction Renovation in Key Areas of High-Energy-Consumption Industries (2022 Edition)" also lists spiral tube heat exchangers as a key recommended equipment for certain fields. However, the high requirements for medium cleanliness and the difficulty in cleaning and maintenance have limited their application scenarios.

The successful application of these two devices signifies another R&D achievement of our company in energy-saving and carbon reduction renovations. It also breaks through the constraints of high cleanliness requirements and difficult maintenance for spiral tube heat exchangers, expanding their applicability. Wuhan Donghai will continue to deepen technological development and product innovation to meet the market demand for "energy-saving, consumption reduction, pollution reduction, and efficiency improvement," providing customers with higher-quality products and services.
