On April 28, 2020, Wuhan EPHE completed the manufacturing of a critical feed preheater for China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd.’s 1-million-ton/year methanol revamp project at China Coal Ordos Energy Chemical.

The equipment weighs 154 tons, with a diameter of 2,200 mm and length of 18,350 mm. Constructed from 14Cr1MoR+S32168 composite steel and S30408 tubes; it combines heat exchanger and tower functionalities. Operating at 9.95 MPa and 275°C, the design required precision in welding, tube insertion, and pressure testing.
