On December 16-17, 2020, a five-member team from Air Products (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (AP) and Jiangsu Debang Xinghua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. (Debang) conducted inspection, witness testing, and final acceptance of six spiral tube heat exchangers manufactured by Wuhan EPHE for the low-temperature methanol washing unit in Debang’s 350,000-ton/year synthetic ammonia project.
The client reviewed design documents, manufacturing processes, and inspection records for the six heat exchangers. Discussions focused on the advancement and reliability of key manufacturing techniques, with particular recognition given to Wuhan EPHE’s newly adopted seismic resistance technology. The acceptance team verified inspection nodes per the ITP plan, reviewed relevant data and records, and enhanced inspection requirements and sampling ratios for critical components and welds.
After two days of rigorous inspection and discussions, the team concluded that the product quality met expectations. Wuhan EPHE was advised to complete preparations for shipment. AP representatives also engaged in extensive exchanges regarding the R&D history, design philosophy, computational methods, and manufacturing technologies of Wuhan EPHE’s spiral heat exchangers.
